OK, I get it now.

This book has come up on my bookstagram so many times and I avoided it. Sure, the cover was pretty but when I read the blurb, I cringed.

Oh no. Not vampires.

I hadn’t picked up a book with vampires since I read the Twilight series. And that was only because I had the flu and couldn’t physically pick up a book so I read it off a tablet I’d propped up. It was a necessity. Not a choice.

And yet. I was drawn to the whole Hunger Games / forced proximity / complicated relationship with father figure thing. So I read it.

Nope. I devoured it.

I am truly a Turned reader.

Have I ordered the sequel and the novella. Yup, sure I have.

Thank you, Carissa Broadbent, for this book. I consider myself a fantasy book addict and you have reminded me exactly what I am addicted to.

Who knew that one day, that would include vampires?
